April 2023 Update

Heyo,

This is Charles. Hope y'all are hanging in there in 2023, with all the crazy things happening in the world spinning back up to speed.

This is the first post I'm making regarding this autobiography I've been quietly working on for a few months, and it's gradually taking shape.

It's tentatively titled: Branching Paths: A Life in Games. It's an autobiography told through games I've made and games I've played.

How did this come about?

I always journal, but the first inklings of the project started in some Notion docs that I started in grad school when I wanted to reflect on my life.

Later, in January 2023, I joined some local Writer's groups in NY, and gradually found myself finally making steady progress on autobiography.

How is it going so far?

Right now, I have about 40,000 words over about 13 chapters in an unedited first draft, that I've been gradually converting into edited chapters that I've been showing to folks locally.

On that step, as of end of April, I'm on Chapter 2.

At this time of year, at this time of day, in this part of the country, localized entirely within your Google docs...

May I see it?

Yes! Kinda!

If you wanna check things out, they're not open to the public yet, but as one of the pieces of advice says in my autobiography, if you're interested, just ask!
